Additionally the chance of increasing a general's skill is so low that in my experience the general is likelier to die than gain a skill pip. Exactly, Drilling Accidents. I'd rather see a higher chance of generals dying in combat (when they actually faced danger) as opposed to during drilling accidents. In my last campaign I probably lost 10 generals to drilling accidents. Maybe 1-2 to combat.
